Taking Steps of Faith

This morning as I did my devotional, God heavily “spoke” to my heart about taking the next steps in my life. As a Christian woman who wants to try to lead a Christ-like life, I wanted to consult God about what should be next.
1 Peter 4:2, 11 (ESV) “…so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God … in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Right now, I am in a season of many changes. I recently graduated college after dropping out of student teaching. I knew God had brought me all the way through my degree to that point, but it wasn’t for me. God showed me that my destiny and prupose is something more and something to do with my writing skills.

I know I only have a piece of the puzzle when it comes to the grand scheme of my life. So, that’s where faith comes into play! I know through prayer, worship, and meditating on God’s word, I will be lead to the next baby step towards what God wants to use me for.

Recently, I have felt a sense of dread when I think about life. Pointless. Which is honestly how a lot of us feel during times of change. While I was complaining, I totally missed God trying to tell me THE POINT IN LIVING IS TO SPREAD GOD’S LOVE. We’ve been told this year after year in church and yet it never clicked for me much until now. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing – teaching, nannying, writing, etc. As long as I am doing it for the Lord!

What does that mean for me now? Work joyfully for the Lord and be DILIGENT in working on whatever step is next.
